FES New York and partners co-hosted this civil society discussion on RtoP and the prevention of atrocity crimes, which allowed participants to exchange views and information with Ivan Simonovic, ASG and Special Adviser of the SG on RtoP.

On the occasion of the ninth annual informal, interactive dialogue on the Responsibility to Protect (R2P) of the General Assembly, FES New York  in cooperation with the Stanley Foundation and the International Coalition for the Responsibility to Protect (ICRtoP) co-hosted this civil society discussion on RtoP and the prevention of atrocity crimes. This event allowed civil society actors to exchange views and information with Ivan Simonovic, Assistant Secretary-General and Special Adviser of the Secretary-General on the Responsibility to Protect and provided the opportunity to hear diverse viewpoints, to connect and reflect on potential areas of cooperation and to explore how existing initiatives and programs can complement one another in the future.
